Data Recovery
- There are many scenarios where data recovery can be required.
  These range from the simple “I deleted a file” to “our server had a meltdown”
  The most common is notebook hard drives failing due to vibration and shock during use. There are options to recover your data.
  It is likely your data can be retrieved. If we can’t recover the data ourselves, we have third party providers that have state of the art technology to do so. There is no cost to evaluate your drive for recovery options.
  We like to have a multi tiered approach to backup.
  1. An onsite backup that runs daily that is monitored and tested
  2. An encrypted offsite cloud backup to provide protection in the worst case (theft, fire or flood), or in the event of an infection that attacks local storage (yes this happens)
  Backups can be configured with many options, such as retaining EOM and EOY and versioning, meaning you can recover a file from last week, not just last night.
  Backup software such as Shadowprotect can also be restored to a new server in the event yours has a major failure which is not an option with most standard backups.
Remote Assistance
- Remote Assistance is an easy way for a technician to make a secure connection to your computer and correctthe problem for you.
  After someone is connected, he or she will be able to view your computer screen and chat online with you in real time about what you both see. With your permission, someone can even takecontrol of your PC and attempt to fix whatever problem you are having. Access or control only lasts for the duration of that session and it can be ended any time.
  We find that 95% of computer problems can be resolved in under 30 minutes via remote access, often in 5-10 minutes!

- Viruses and Malware are the a blight of our existence. There are many clever people out there that are keen to put malicious code onto your computer in any way they can. That could be Facebook apps, toolbars, drive by downloads, infected websites and the list goes on. Viruses and Malware can corrupt or even destroy files, wipe out hard drives, slow your computer down, or even steal your personal information including credit and debit cards. Malware is the newest threat to your computer. Many of these programs trick you into allowing them to execute on your computer without you even knowing. Known as “Grey Area” threats: Spyware, Adware, Dialers, Joke Programs, Hacker Tools, Remote Access Tools, Password Cracking Applications, and others are very dangerous and need to be removed immediately.
  One of the latest threats is ‘ransomware’ that will encrypt ALL your business data (including your backups, shared folders, external drives, USB, Cloud drives such as OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox) and demand a ransom. There is little that can be done once this happens but pay the ransom to gain access to your data. It is preventable but not generally fixable once you are a victim. We have processes to mitigate these risks to your data that are not difficult to implement.
